Strange Fire Collective Presents Agency

The Birdcage Veil

Caleb Cole, The Birdcage Veil, 2010

Featuring work by Caleb Cole, Zackary Drucker, Ervin A. Johnson, Laurence Rasti, and Krista Wortendyke

At the heart of every political and social movement is a question about who deserves to have power and control, whether over territory, access, rights, or freedoms. Around the world, we are witnessing struggles connected to race, sexuality, gender, and class. The artists in this exhibition ask questions about who has agency and in what situations, working from their own experiences within these complex social and political forces.

Here is a link to the online exhibition of the work.
